Mountain Railways

Mellau
The new Mellaubahn with spacious 10-seater gondolas leads from the village to the 1400m high Rossstelle. Strollers and bikes are also transported. Many hiking and biking trails lead to cozy Alpine huts where fresh milk, cheese and hearty snacks are offered. Sometimes you can also look over the shoulder of the dairyman. The summit hike on the Kanisfluh is a highlight. www.damuels-mellau.at

Bezau
From Bezau (5km away and easily reached by bus) the modern ropeway leads in 2 sections to the sunny mountain ridge of the Niedere. There a wide panorama opens up and paragliders dance through the air. The beautiful summit restaurant is worth a visit. www.seilbahn-bezau.at
